virtual sacred circles

Move with us on the first Wednesday of every month.

the circle experience

Sacred Circles are an opportunity for grievers to gather together to honor and turn toward a life-disrupting loss. These monthly circles, held via Zoom, are free and open to anyone who is looking for a brief but powerful encounter with their grief. Sacred circles are not sacred in a religious sense, but draw on the ancient tradition of circles to create community through an intentional shared space. With just small changes, we can move from SCARED to SACRED, shifting the way we move with - rather than away from - the hardest things.

Date(s): The first Wednesday of every month.

Time: We offer two virtual circle times to accommodate different time zones - 9:04am EST and 9:04am PST.

Why 9:04am on Wednesdays? E-Motion Founder Myra Sack's first daughter, Havi, died at 9:04 am on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

What to Expect: Our circles are intentionally short, roughly 5-10 minutes, and include a gently guided facilitation that centers on our values and on the power of movement, community and ritual. In circle, we will invite attendees to be on camera and share the name of a person in their life who has died, but we also welcome those who prefer to stay off camera and experience the circle in private.

To Join: Please sign up for the appropriate time below based on your time zone. Sign up is required and entry will close at the start of the circle.
