E-Motion Releases First Annual Report

E-Motion launched in 2023 with a vision to transform the way the world shows up for those who are grieving. We believe that community is a right; where people show up, share pain, and move together with the hardest things.

In its first year, E-Motion programs served hundreds of grievers and led emotional literacy trainings with dozens of organizations while building capacity for future growth.

E-Motion Founder Myra Sack writes,

It is a profound privilege to find you here with us. E-Motion exists because my older daughter, Havi, was born and then died when she was only two years, four months, and sixteen days old. It is through her life and death that the essence of E-Motion emerged. Havi showed me a world filled with eternal beauty and excruciating pain; a world where the power of connection is life-sustaining; a world where the rhythm of movement saves us from paralysis; a world where ritual leads to refuge; and finally, a world of grievers who deserve a community to call their own.

We are on a movement-based, grief-informed mission to change the way we show up for ourselves and each other. Thank you to each and every griever among us: It is you, and your person, who are building this sacred and powerful community.

Looking ahead, E-Motion will be integrated into new settings through expanded partnerships with professional sport teams, hospital and nursing groups, and community-based and youth serving organizations, and through new digital resources that enable communities to engage with E-Motion content wherever they are.
