The E-Motion Inc. Team

E-Motion Inc. is a non-profit with a mission to transform the way the world shows up for each other through grief and loss, so no one grieves alone.

One of our core programs is the Movement Community, a movement-based grief group that invites people to move together with their loss. We imagine a global movement - where every neighborhood, everywhere, has access to this simple yet profound way of integrating the power of movement, community, and ritual to take care of ourselves and each other through loss.

And this spring, we’re growing. In April 2025, nine trained E-Motion Facilitators will launch Movement Communities in neighborhoods across the country:

📍Hamden, CT
📍Cambridge, MA
📍Concord, MA
📍Pittsfield, MA
📍Syracuse, NY
📍Brooklyn, NY
📍Tacoma, WA
📍Port Angeles, WA
📍San Diego, CA

To help you share this offering with individuals, organizations, and communities who might benefit, we’ve developed a compilation of Movement Community “sharables.” Inside, you’ll find:

Email templates for sharing Movement Communities with organizations
Marketing language for newsletters and outreach
Social media assets to download and share

We’d love your help in spreading the word. Move with us.

Dear [Community/Team],

I am sharing a unique opportunity that may be meaningful for those in our community who have experienced a life-disrupting loss.

E-Motion is a non-profit organization with a mission to support grieving people. They were founded by a bereaved mom and have a variety of program offerings for grievers. One of their core programs is the E-Motion Movement Community, a peer-led grief group that integrates gentle movement and community support. Unlike traditional grief groups, these gatherings take place while in motion—walking, running, hiking, or engaging in simple movement together—creating a space to move with grief in a way that feels natural and accessible.

This spring, E-Motion is launching nine new Movement Communities across the country, in the following locations:

Hamden, CT / Cambridge, MA / Concord, MA / Pittsfield, MA / Syracuse, NY / Brooklyn, NY / Tacoma, WA / Port Angeles, WA / San Diego, CA

To learn more and to sign up, please visit E-Motion’s website here

If you or someone in your life could benefit, I invite you to learn more and consider joining a Movement Community this spring.

With gratitude,

[Your Name]
