Partnering for Growth with Moosilauke Visions

Late in 2023, the leadership at Moosilauke Visions learned about E-Motion and its vision to change the way that the world shows up for each other through the hardest things. Based in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont, Moosilauke Visions utilizes a variety of resources and more than 30 years of expertise to partner with and support mission-focused nonprofits on their path to success. The organization’s ultimate goal is to sustain existing programs and seed more programs that further serve individuals, families, and communities, beginning with those in the Upper Valley.

At the time, E-Motion was in its first year of operation and moving quickly; already its programs had served over 400 individuals with direct programming for grieving individuals, and training programs for organizations and teams. Moosilauke Visions recognized that the right resources - financial and otherwise - at the right time could be a game changer for a young organization. After a process of presentation and review, it awarded E-Motion an initial $15,000 grant to support general operations, and providing behind-the-scenes support for crucial administrative functions. In addition to the initial grant, E-Motion accepted a challenge grant which will unlock an additional $15,000 in matching funds from Moosilauke Visions if it is able to raise the same amount from other sources within their local Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont communities.

Now in its second year, the E-Motion approach to supporting grieving individuals and communities is in motion across a range of sectors including with athletes from the National Women’s Soccer League, Boston Medical Center, YMCA, Dartmouth Hillel, and growing still. Moosilauke’s founding vision, to help mission-focused nonprofits get off the ground, continue growing, and ultimately become sustainable, is in motion every day within this partnership.

“We are deeply grateful for the support of Moosilauke Visions as we set out to make movement and community accessible to all grieving people, everywhere,” reflects E-Motion Founder Myra Sack. “Moosilauke Visions’ early belief in the E-motion mission is transformative.”

E-Motion Founder Myra Sack had the opportunity to introduce E-Motion to the Moosilauke Visions community in a welcome video:
